Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-30
1. Who we are
MacroView (macro-view.com, "the service", "we") is operated by CuriosityDistrict, Bukovacka cesta 174, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia. You can reach us at contact@macro-view.com. By creating an account or subscribing to a paid plan you agree to these terms.
2. What the service is
MacroView provides market and macro-economic dashboards, weekly market reports, market alerts, an AI research assistant, a paper-trading simulator, and programmatic access to cached market datasets via a REST API and an MCP endpoint. The underlying market data comes from third-party sources, is cached on our servers, and can be delayed, incomplete, interrupted or wrong — treat every figure as at-most as fresh as the freshness stamp shown next to it, and verify anything you intend to act on against an authoritative source.
3. Not investment advice
Everything on MacroView is information and education, not investment advice. Nothing on the service — dashboards, reports, alerts, scores, screens, AI-assistant answers or anything else — is a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy or sell any security or other financial instrument, and none of it takes your personal situation into account. We are not an investment adviser, broker or fiduciary. The paper-trading simulator uses fictional money; simulated results do not represent real trading and are no indication of future results. If you need investment advice, consult a licensed professional. Any decision you make based on the service is your own, at your own risk.
4. Accounts
Sign-in is via third-party OAuth providers (GitHub, Google). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping any API key secret; a leaked key can be revoked and re-minted from the account menu at any time. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service (see section 7).
5. Paid plans and billing
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed by Stripe; your card details never touch our servers. The prices and what each plan includes are shown on the Plans page at the time of purchase; applicable VAT is shown at checkout.
- You can cancel, switch plans or download invoices anytime through the billing portal (account menu → manage subscription). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; there is no minimum term.
- API request budgets are weekly and reset Monday 00:00 UTC; unused requests do not roll over.
- We may change plan prices or contents; changes to a running subscription take effect at the next renewal and we will announce them on the site beforehand.
6. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from your first purchase of a subscription within 14 days without giving a reason: email contact@macro-view.com from your account's address within that window and we will refund the payment in full. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected by anything in these terms.
7. Acceptable use
- Programmatic access (REST API, MCP) requires your own API key and runs against your plan's request budget — don't circumvent the gates, rate limits or budgets, and don't share keys between organisations.
- Don't scrape the dashboards, and don't redistribute or resell the data or reports as a dataset or competing service. Quoting excerpts with attribution is fine.
- No use that disrupts the service or other users, and no unlawful use.
8. Intellectual property
The service's design, text, derived scores and composites are ours. Market data remains the property of its originating sources. Content you store in the service (watchlists, simulator positions, settings) is yours.
9. Availability and changes
The service is provided as-is, without an uptime guarantee (custom terms for teams are agreed separately). Features — particularly free ones — may change or be discontinued; where a change materially reduces a paid plan, section 5's renewal rule applies.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses from trading or investment decisions made using the service, and our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or anything that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing removes rights that consumer law grants you.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Croatian law. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above changes when we do, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
